:)Hey, Aloha, Tacoma Dudes. Kalaukia 37Her Again. If you are Wondering what Kalaukia Means, Well, It Is My Wifes Name in Hawaiian: CLAUDIA. 37 IS fOR THE SIZE OF MY Sailboat that I had. A New Hunter 37, Cutter Rig. It Took me 16 Days to Sail From Oakland to Oahu, Hawaii. Boy what a Trip that was, Fish everyday, Storms ETC. PRAISE THE LORD JESUSE CHRIST for Bringing me back home.

ANTWAY I FOR GOT TO TELL YOU GUYS ABOUT and IMPORTANT THING THAT REALLY, REALLY SAVES GAS. I Do it All the time when I Drive. Just because You may have a 4, 5, 6, Speed in your truck. You DONT NEEED TO USE EVERY GEAR TO GET GOING. It Really Saves Gas by Starting Slow in 1ST, then 3Rd, Then 5TH. Just Dont Lugg the Engine. Keep the RPMS Down as Much as possible. If you have Cruise Control USE IT , IT REALLY HELPS ALSO.:D.
Like I Wrote Yesterday, We Pay $3.37 Just For Reg. Gas. My 3.4L V6 Gets Me anywhere from 24 to 29 MPG With the Air on. And Boy Can it Really Kick A--, if I want to. Also You may want to open your Air Box, Right by your intake air cleaner. I dont know about that Charcoal thing that I am reading about. Plus the 3RD Gen. Trucks are much Bigger then my 1998 exra Cab. Weight causes alot of gas waste.

OK Guys God Bless, and Aloha!

Was the point of this thread really to state that skipping gears saves gas? Here's another tip, shift low. Or walk. Or bike.

Why is this in a Tacoma forum?

Glad you made your trip safely, though.

Aloha, Too All of You GREAT, Toyota Drivers,:D who would enjoy, saving a few dollars, in your wallet with my driving tips. It seems that my Tips have ALREADY BEEN USED, Sorry for that, just trying to help. When You have to pay $3.37 for a Gallon of gas, it is Horrible. I, have Been Driving for just About 51 Years and have hadToyotas since 1967. I hope, that having a bad a==Tacoma near the BEACHFRONT, Does Not Bother Too many Drivers. This was Not my Intent, WHILE I WAS giving details, about my tacoma. IT WAS and IS, How To Help All of US, AS TACOMA DRIVERS, DRIVE, SAFE, AND HELP, EACH OTHER, AND FUTURE BUYERS, AND MODIFIERS OF OUR PERSONAL MACHINES, AND DRIVERS OF TACOMA TRUCKS. JUST TO SAVE A LOT OF DOLLARS AT THE PUMP. I am sorry, if I have offended anyone, as you may read, Gas Is VERY Expensive here in Hawaii.

    GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
    KALAUKIA 37:cool:.

And it was appreciated what you said by more than just one of us....Maybe you should post some of the girls in their little bathing suits from Hawaii with your Tacoma and see what kind of criticism you get....LOL.
