    I really haven't seen much difference when using the ac as its not on all the time during summer here. I'll have to keep track closer.

    This was driving my car 10 city blocks after work to fill up:

    And then this was the ride home on the turnpike (55-70mph) pretty flat road the whole way. It’s usually about 15-20 minutes of bumper to bumper city traffic, and then smooth sailing for 20-30 minutes on the turnpike.

    A nasa engineer that helped put the first monkey in space once told me the closer to the boiling point of water an engine runs the more efficient it will be. Just something to consider.

    On the other hand cooler temps equals more horsepower, quoating a race car builder.

    the air is denser when it's cold out but combustion is less efficient. the opposite is true when it's hot out. i wonder how that equates to total thermal efficiency.

    Colder air is more compressed, ie there is slightly more oxygen pressed into the same place. Boat racers use chillers for fuel and i can attest that my hydrosport ran way faster in winter vs summer.
