MPG With off road bumper?

Honeycomb composite sleeper platform.

Been comparing MPG with and without offroad bumpers. I'm sitting on 265/75/16 where other local tacomas are 285/75/16 with off road bumpers they are claiming 12-15 mpg. Guys with OEM are thinking closer to 17 mpg. Any other input?

I have 255/85/16 load E tires and a stock bumper. I tend to get 17 -18 mpg. One of the reasons I'm in no hurry to get an aftermarket bumper - it's basically an air dam. When it gets crushed by something, I'll get a hybrid bumper.
