I don't think you have enough miles to really get a good idea at this point. These trucks vary wildly depending on where you are driving, speed and traffic and head wind. I've gone on some trips and my computer shows 12-13 mpg and others where it will read into the upper 20's. It usually settles to 19-22mpg consistantly per total tank average. You might just want to put the computer readout on another setting as it can get compulsive. I pay more attention near the end of a tank and also calculate by the tank per fuelly.

I lost about 1 to 1.5 mpg going from the stock 16” Goodyear’s to 265/70/17 C rated BFGs.

I’m now looking at 285, down the road but I know that will hurt my mileage even more. My best has been only 17-18 MPG on my current setup. Colder weather and winter fuel seems to have dropped me to 16.5.

Yeah I tend to check it obsessively... I never used to care but I guess that's because I always had old vehicles that I had to calculate the mileage myself and I would do it once or twice to get a good idea, then forget about it. Having it show up on real time on the dash is a killer for me.

I'll probably leave it off the screen for a bit and check toward the end of the tank.

You're welcome. Well, and I agree with you on all points. I'm just offering ideas trying to help a brother from another mother. And trust me, if money was no object I'd be driving this thing with a helmet and 3 point harness all the time. I'm 55 going on 16 when it comes to going fast. I have had it up to the trips' on the speedo so trust me, I feel your pain. I just wanted to point out there's a flip side to that coin.

Now, when I really want to play fast I use my other daily driver. But its a hybrid so even in sport mode driving NASCAR style all the time I'm pulling 40s.

So that makes the 15s or 16s easier to swallow in the Taco knowing overall I can divide by two over the course of a year.

At one time I had a Tundra and a AWD Crosstour. My yearly fuel costs were nearly 4k! I obviously changed that.

Yep - I had a 1st gen and 2nd gen. Never even thought about it until doing calulations at the end of a tank. I've seen post where people fill up the tank and drive in the city and freak out cause truck reads 12-13 mpg. The previous truck would have been the same or worse. those just didn't have a computer telling you the instant readout.
