    Hello All,
I know this is not the correct way to calculate mpg’s, but at the end of my 30 mile trip I got an average fuel economy of 28.7 miles. I have an 2020 double cab SR5 V6. I live in Los Angeles and commute to the San Fernando valley. Going home I put it in cruise going 68. Just wondering if anyone has experienced this type of great fuel economy.

The screen is fairly accurate but not 100%. But still good job. That pass can be brutal on fuel too so kudos

When my TRD Sport was stock, I could get that driving around the Outer Banks NC. But here in the foot hills of VA I could get at best 21. Now on 32's I get 18 at home. Haven't been able to get down to the beach this season to see what it gets there.

Yeah 30 miles isn't enough mileage to calculate MPG's even remotely accurately lol. For me, after filling up I can drive 100 miles and the needle will go to like 3/4 tank, and I think wow I'm getting good MPG's. But soon as it hits 3/4, boom it explodes and goes to E lol.

Is not about MPGs, it’s about SPGs!

How many smiles per gallon did you get on that trip?

I did a 50 mile trip with my v6 2020 tacoma auto on mostly 2 lane highways, and small town roads never exceeding 60 mph....displayed showed 21.6 mpg.

I get that a lot after a fill up. That's just one tick above "instant MPG" like other cars have and is only accurate if you maintain those driving conditions for a longer duration. I only go by the MPG on the radio screen which is a true measurement that always matches my manual calculation at each fill up.

How much altitude did you gain / lose?

I easily get 28 mpg on a 5 mile trip through a small town going home from a trail head that is 1500 ft higher up than where I live. Going there, however, I get 15 mpg, so that averages out to 21.5 mph.

It is a trip MPG and pops up every time you shut the truck off, at fill up time the dash display is pretty damn accurate for the entire tank.

The wife has a 2012 prius to. I think the only thing that car had was a single recall for a seat belt issue. I keep telling her i'll be pay back when the battery takes a dump.
