I was taking it easy. I may break out the huge swamp cooler today. I just hate having a bunch of cords and hoses all over the place.

Reviewing the thread. I like this idea a lot. Couple questions:
    1) What kind of range have you used it up to?
    2) Where do you place the mag antennae, and how do you route the antennae cable?

Haven't had alot of time to play with it. So, today on my way to work I had the mag base on the center of cab, ran the down though the sliding rear window. I was able to talk to just one trucker about 2 miles away, I could here him perfect. He said I was loud and clear. Just not alot of people using cb any more. Tomorrow or Friday I will go on the interstate highway. I pick up the weather channel perfect.

When I had it in my work truck (not a Taco) I could never really pick anyone up because no one uses them really. Even on the interstate it was hard to just jump into a conversation.
If I were to put one in a Tacoma it would pretty much be just for wheeling with groups, hunting trips, etc. Kind of an easy group chatter. With that in mind you dont really need to amp it out as I said becasue you probably would never be very far from each other.

 Thank you very much Dan. I really think this will be my solution. I'd be able to use it on my UTV 6x6 as well.

It's nice and cool in the house. Might have to run into town a little later but not if I don't have to.

Just checked, 55% humidity. We've been less than 20% all week and some 10% or less. This is a great time to stay inside.
