I gots USAA # in my phone and wallet. I don't operate that way. I've already hit a moose...no amount of armor is gonna help with those beasts...if it did, I'd get -.003 MPG at a max speed of 2 MPH with a tailwind. Cereal.

Knew you would, no worries...common assumption, but the physics and numbers don't support it.

Plus they have their own in-house detectives who will go after anyone trying to pull a fraudulent claim against one of their customers. I had a lady go out of her way to make me hit her (there were witnesses, and she refused to cooperate with police and EMS) and they went after her. It was AWESOME!!

I'm around 28-30 years. My dad opened an account for me and when I got out of the service I switched it over to my own hook. Fucking love them, screw regular banks for the masses.

We were in England stationed at RAF Mildenhall and living on Lakenheath. Insurance thru Thatchers, they operated out of one those huts out by the BX on Lakenheath; paid extortion rates to them for 2+ years IIRC. When I went to cancel them 'cuz USAA was half the cost they'd been charging us, the slimeball told me they'd match USAA. I, in very unkind terms, told him I wouldn't stay with them if they beat USAA's rate. I was so PO'd! Left quickly before I hit the guy. Another case of take advantage of the GI. I couldn't believe the brashness of this guy, didn't hesitate a moment saying they could match USAA, after they'd been charging us twice as much for 2 years. Their hut was vacated shortly after. USAA put them outta business with the American GIs.

I was in Korea and heard that very same story from our shirt, who was on a 3-year controlled tour with his family. His insurance for his wife alone (he didn't drive - it cost too much) was three times what it was for a Korean family...and USAA. He was able to switch AND add a driver to the policy for less than half of what he was paying through "rape the captive audience LLC."

Apparently laws designed to prevent companies from fleecing GIs only apply in the states. Overseas, it's open season on GI wallets.

That would not have played well for a young Tech Sgt, international incident and all that shit.

But I sure as hell wanted to.
