    Afternoon Brother Rob
    Afternoon Shack Folks

The missus and I got our second covid booster and it took her down yesterday. Chills, aches, weakness, tired, etc. Spent most of the day taking care of her. I only had a sore spot from where they stuck the needle . She is doing better today but still not 100%. You need to take care of the back issue Rob. Back pain isn't fun.

Hi Bill @lynyrd3 , the wife has had SI joint issues for many years and has been getting injections to help with the pain when it moves down the leg. Her next step is to have a procedure where they insert a piece to stabilize the joint to keep it from moving (hers move to much and that is what rubs the nerve) and hopefully take care of her problem. As us oldtimers say "Getting old sucks but sure beats the alternative." Take care and don't overdue the exercising.:fistbump:

Hope everyone has a great day. :hattip:

    :hattip: Good Morning Bill

I'm sure they'd love to get their paws on your truck. I'm still processing exactly why you're giving it up. I get it fiscally, but I'd have a hard time letting mine go. I went without one from 1986 to 2010, ain't gonna do that again. :notsure:

    Long story version:

When my oldest was 16 I bought a used Yaris for her to drive. She faithfully drove it, without complaint, for more than 4 years. She's closing in on 21 now and I wanted her to have a newer, nicer car. She's worked her butt off and is putting herself through college on an 100% academic scholarship that she earned through busting her ass. She's earned a nicer ride.

So, in April I bought my wife a '22 Corolla SE Nightshade.

    20220508_154750.jpg

I then gave the daughter the wife's '19 Corolla LE.

    Screenshot_2020-07-18-19-29-49.jpg

To save gas and mileage on the Taco I started driving the daughter's old ride....aka The Egg.

    Screenshot_2019-09-12-11-03-19.jpg

But.....I don't want to wear this little car out commuting in it everyday because in a little over a year my youngest will be 16 and will need something.

So....I've decided to sell my rig while the value is still heathy, buy a Corolla Hatchback as a daily and pick up an old truck that I can tinker with and still make the occasional Home Depot run when I need too. I want something older I can piddle with more than anything.

The Taco just mostly sits in the garage these days. It's too nice a rig for that. Time for the 2nd half of it's life.
