    Overcast and a bit rainy yesterday and this morning. Haven't seen the Monkey yet, and might not. We helped put a well pump shaft in the pasture yesterday evening. Pretty neat rig, runs off solar power. :cool:

    Good Morning From Monkey Mtn :wave:

    Yesterday we removed the running gear from an old 22' flatbed trailer and turned into a bridge over the creek for a future ATV trail tying back into the easement trail. Starting to thin out the woods other side of creek; mostly for aesthetics and fire prevention...taking out dead beetle kill spruce (aka fire wicks :eek:). Bridge needs some abutment work, but we've taken the first major step. Also helped finish the pasture well project. Always something to work on, but that's one of the benefits to coming out here...I never was much of a gym "rat." ;)
    Back to town this afternoon to catch a MatSu Miners baseball game with our son and his wife.

    Absolutely, realized again yesterday afternoon, sitting on Chris' porch looking at Monkey Mtn and the orchard with fireweed growing up by it, just how much this place helps me keep my sanity and motivation. So thankful to Danny for sharing his little slice of heaven with us. At least as close I'm gonna get on this rock.
    Ballgame with the kids will be fun...think it's been 4-5 yrs since we went. I hear they're playing great this year too. :thumbsup:
