Another couple productive days off grid at my friend's cabin. Working on walling in and metal roofing his pole barn. Previously wrapped in reinforced greenhouse plastic sheeting. Good Morning Maner.

Hope your knee isn't injured too bad. :fingerscrossed:

Yep, after waking up to a Wintry mix that lasted 'til noon, things were getting pretty sloppy.

Yep, that excavator is pretty awesome.

Got home a few hours ago. Good trip. Glad to be home. Have to do it again the end of January. Being in the middle of winter, that one may be a little sporting.

 You just have to allow more transit time and pack a survival kit...but I know you know that. ;)

Always throw in a case of water. The wife always throws in a big bag of snacks, jerky, etc. I try to use major routes just in case we need some kind of help. Something center fire and an extra mag is always within reach and a couple knives. It's nice traveling through states with ccw reciprocity.

He decided to make the slab bigger and fix all the things that he did not like about the shop that was on the property when he bought it. Hope to get the roof on it before the big snow hits.

That's exactly the mode we're all in, "before the big snow." At least he'll have a more workable shop he'll like.

Hope you beat the snow on your end. I plan on making the trip out to see him next summer if all goes well. Would be cool if you could drive over for a meal and a hand shake.
