:hattip: Good Morning Chief Mike :fistbump:
I've had enough of this "La Nina" already myself. Saw -10°F driving to the hockey game this morning. Glad I chose my flannel lined jeans. Only 4 or 5 months to go. PHX will be a welcome break in March.
Interesting looking little 28ga. I've still got my little Sears & Roebuck bolt action 20ga for the limb chickens.
Hope the 5 stand went well. :)

... and my Ariens is 18 yrs old and doing duty with my son Mitch currently. I've gone full battery powered, bought a two stage Ego this year. I'm sold on the convenience of the battery stuff. So far they're holding up well too. Time will tell.

We get hit with that shipping scam too ... Amazon Prime has it figured out, but so many still use the excuse ... FEDEX & UPS both run terminals here.

I came THIS close to getting the EGO 24" 10 Ah blower.... Had mixed reviews and wasn't sure it would last for the length of my driveway so at the last minute chickened out. I hope don't regret it I'm so tired of messing with gas. And oil changes, blah blah.

Put my long johns on this morning at the last minute and glad I did. Got up to 19° by the time I got home but it was cold and windy, windchill of -3°. Being in a heated building to shoot helps a lot. But feels like I got slapped in the face a bunch of times outside today. I better suck it up yeah it's not going to get much better for awhile yet. Yep 4 or 5 months.

True sea story Mayo used to send me to the Scottsdale campus in North Phoenix once a year. I always did it end of Jan or Feb. Last time I was there they had a hard freeze and the news was dedicated to telling people how to drain their lawn watering systems so that they wouldn't freeze and burst. Work blamed me for the hard freeze and told me that I couldn't come back unless it was summer. And sure enough I haven't been invited back since, go figure.

I always do the Apache Trail in a rental car but it is pretty mild compared to what it was in the 70's when we would run over from San Diego. As I was going into the Superstition Mountains where they got snow I stopped to get gas and the lady at the counter asked me if I came up from the Valley to see the snow. I blurted out not hardly I came from Mn. to escape the cold and snow. She said you are so lucky to get to see snow that much of the year. My tongue got tied and twisted up trying to reply to that one. I muttered something don't recall what but pretty sure I sounded like an idiot.

Driving to work in late Spring they were filming a Hallmark movie in the exchange. They had this fake movie studio prop. snow all over. Why weren’t they here in Jan.-Feb. when the real stuff was here is pretty clear. Nothin’ romantic about -40

You can have PHX from May thru September ... been once in July, stepped out of the airport and instantly thought Dhahran only it smells better. As my son Robert explains it, they're the polar opposite of here. Autostart to cool the car vs warm, when it's 110°F+ they only go out early morning or late evening vs here when it's sub-zero we wait for the short warmer middle of the day.

    "Lucky" huh? o_O

    Fake snow in Canada
That's similar to the low snowfall years in Anchorage when they haul in snow for the Iditarod "ceremonial" start. But tourism supports the economy ... so there we are. ;)
