Good morning Rob and shack mates. Wife put in a grocery order and I have to pick it up. First time I’ll leave the house in over a week.

No big deal. Wife ordered the groceries through the app. They have shoppers fill the order and notify when ready for pick up. Pull into a marked space and call them and they bring the groceries to me. Even put them in the back of the car. No need to get out.

My kid does that, she says we need to get up to speed with technology, she’s probably right. We visited her over Christmas , they have a smart house, I couldn’t figure out how to turn the lights on. I guess all you have to do is say, “ light on”

'Bout time you ventured out. Feeling better I hope? How's your wife doing with it, did she get some horse pills?

My son, the "IT professional," warned me against all that smart house stuff ... I guess it's generally highly vulnerable to hacking? :notsure:

Yeah I was in a bunch of training where it was discussed a while back. It’s insecure for the most part. Those Amazon things are same problem too

Just listened to a thing yesterday on how much data your new smart vehicle collects from you. I’ve likely got an arrest warrant drivin’ that Chevy. The Taco doesn’t care.

It’s funny, grew up in Detroit, sold the house in 80’ when my mother passed. We didn’t have a house key to lock the front door when it sold.o_O Yeah we don’t like all the tech, still write checks. Dealing with SSA is primarily done with the U S Mail, signing up is all done online or in person. The older you get, the harder it becomes, easier prey .:annoyed:
