    Nothing much today. Just made a couple of new friends at a restaurant we stopped at...20220918_120519.jpg 20220918_115922.jpg
    Shocked me to see the number of deer herds being raised by herders. Deer were almost hunted to extinction so the government gave farmers permission to raise them for sale and food. Main herds are sheep, beef on the hoof and deer.

    We're fine, a little breezy but nothing of worry here. West coast villages getting pummelled pretty bad. Looks like it'll break up inland. Current forecast shows a lotta rain here starting Monday all week, but I don't see any terrible winds so far. Honestly it feels like the media is dramatizing it a bit. People need recovery assistance out there, but this is Alaska...it happens and we deal with it. :notsure:

    Yesterday, with the help of two brothers, wife and two 4wheelers with winches I got mt elevated deer shack up. Started building the day before I got covid. Fell behind schedule by 5 days. Spent this past week getting caught up. I got everything in location for yesterday's lift.
    Just waiting for windows to show up next week. Lots of finishing work left.
    Now it's recovery time.
