    We close our place upstate down for the winter and put peppermint leaves (grows wild around the house) around in the furniture (they love the stuffing, makes a great nest) and it helps keep them out. You might want to give it a try for next season. We tried different stuff and nothing seemed to work until we tried the peppermint.
    Hope the back pain eases up. 7 Weeks is a long time to wait to see a doctor.
