I suppose mine could be a gaming rig, the weakest point probably being the video card.

    Fractal Arc Midi R2
    Asus Sabertooth Z77
    Core i7 2600K @ 4.5Ghz
    CM Hyper Evo 212

Nice build. I want to upgrade, but because I use mine mainly for gaming, there is no reason as it will handle everything that I throw at it still. These are old photos. The only thing that's changed is the GPU from dual 5870s to a single 7970.

If you are gamer like most of us, I highly recommend upgrading your monitor to 1440p or 1600p. I upgraded to a 27" Dell 1440p monitor last year and I will never go back. The detail is unreal. I don't even use anti-alaising anymore. You can leave it off, save your gpu some processing power to push more fps and still have the best eye candy.

Well I was looking at the Cooler master HAF 922, but after seeing the one you grabbed I was looking on New egg and they had the 932 Advanced ATX Full with Black Interior. It was on sale from 179$ to 134$

as far as guts, So many Options! I will be going with Intel i7, not sure if I should go Haswell or Ivy.

I think a 120Gig SSD will do fine for OS. and then a 1Tb Seagate for Storage will be fine.

I have a Qnap system with 4 Tb's of storage for movies and music. so internal mass storage for me isn't a must have.

Newegg.com is having a great columbus day sale.
If you guys are looking for parts to finish up your rigs, now is a great time.

I'm going to be running a few benchmarks for a single 770 dc modded later on today to post along with the 770 dc sli cards. And atleast see what my single card does against the reference 770 that was posted in the earlier link.

Yea. That's kinda where I got the idea to start my thread.
I didn't realize people talked about stuff other than tacomas here.

The game is very blah right now. It's still in beta for another day or two.
Graphics look horrible and dull and there is still quite a few bugs.
Gameplay seems ok but it really doesnt feel like bf4 but more like bf3.5.

Official release is in a few days.

I think quite a bit of people are going to be disappointed because the components it takes to play the game now might not cut it when the official release comes out with better graphics, added maps.

Agree with all. It took me a day just to get on and be able to play. The gameplay itself is super shotty and glitchy. I know the main game will be better but still not much different then bf3.

What other games do you play?

    Nothing else really.
I play a lot of single player games. Modern warfare and stuff.
    Maybe the occasional flight sim.

Little bit more tweaking as the rig has settled some over the past month.
Up from my previous score of 17314.
Might push it some more when I get some push fans on the radiator.

Finished of my build with the purchase of one of the new 1440p, Korean 27in monitors.

    Qnix Qx2710.
These are Samsung panels rejected by quality control and sold to a 3rd party.
They are 60hz and can be overclocked to 96-120hz.
The reviews are pretty good and at half the price of other 1440p monitors.
Shipping strait from Korea. Should be here mid week.

    Couple new items.
The Korean Qnix2710 monitor is absolutely amazing!!! Overclocked to 80 Hz.
2560x1440p. I can lower aa filtering in game and grab a few extra fps and not see any jagged lines.
I have never seen color so vivid, so sharp, so clear. 0 dead pixels and only one tiny one inch place where you can see any backlight bleeding and that's only if the screen/room are pitch black.
1440p at less than over half of the competitors.

Also ordered another 256 gb Samsung 840 pro SSD. Going to run raid 0.
Also added a 7200 rpm 500 gig and a 7200 rpm 250 along with my WD black edition 1 tb drive.

Running 4.6 @ 33degs idle and well under td at full load.

Get some pics up when my SSD comes in.
    Freaking love this beast!!!

    So, made a few changes.
    2x samsung 840 pro's in raid 0
    500gb storage.
    1 tb storage.
    300 gb storage
    300 gb storage.

Pretty much done with this build. Looking to add an 840 pro to my Asus G73jh and bring the windows experience score to 7.2.

Did you raid the two 840s for double the capacity, or double the speed?
