They are the All Pro headlight hoops. .120 wall 1.5" diameter. Protection is great ;)

    Hey thanks!

Buy a welder and start weldin shit haha. I was thankful enough that most of my fathers side is welders and pipe fitters so I learnt at a young age. Once you do it though it becomes easier and easier.

I have my last wheeling trip weekend of jan 18th. After that my son will be born in March. Won't be able to wheel till summer. Hopefully the crawl box will come soon. I think I'm going to tackle this weld job. I have reinforcement plates that need to get done also. Like you said earlier aint nothing to it but to do it!

Yeah, yeah....gah! People (local) keep telling me that 33's will be fine, don't need 35's, fuel mileage, power, fitment, etc...but damn they look nice and would give me another inch of axle clearance.

    With a 5sp V6 and 4.10's am I going to cry?

What do you have for local wheeling terrain? Rock, mud, snow?

I can't really give you a good answer to the manual and 4:10's. It would be safe to say you probably wouldn't use 5th a whole lot on the highway and if you did you would have really low rpms. We have a local here with 5spd and 35's with 4:88's and he even said when he's crawling he has to ride the clutch a fair bit to keep the wheel hop down. His name on the forum is DocMcoy. Find him and send him a pm! He'd know more about the manual. :)

Great, thanks. I'm in Phoenix - mostly rocks and sand/dirt, but if I go an hour or two north I can find snow.

I found assembled 3rds at East Coast Gear Supply - cheaper than I thought, looks like $640 with gears plus core shipping. Do you know if this is what I'm looking for for the front? If I can do the whole thing for $1400 after shipping, gears, and fluids, that's easier to swallow than $2k.

yea with a manual, you'll want to regear for sure.

crawl box never hurts if you wheel a lot
