Yea...seems like most of the time if your polite and just nodd and say yes they'll let you go with just one $57 ticket. But...one if these days it'll be the full blown whole shebang. That was the 5th time I got stopped to haha. Can't really bullshit my way out if it.

I actually like have the mudflaps now anyways....I wish I would have done it earlier. There's nothing worse than driving down the road behind someone and they have a 10ft rooster tail of salted slush hitting your hood.

    Good karma I guess??

haha yeah that gets pricey real quick. if you have the rears covered i doubt they would pull you over for just the fronts especially with the sliders hey. might be tougher to mount some on the front that wouldn't tear off soon as the wheels stuff up the well. would be nice not to have mud and whatnot thrown into the cab while driving with the windows down though haha..

i know i have bitched about trucks with no flaps many times while driving my car so i guess it is the courteous thing to do. need to take care of that asap since i'll be on the highways a lot more this summer

Yea I won't be doing front mudflaps. I'll take that ticket. It'd just get ripped off in a heartbeat. At least with the rears I can take them off and leave them at home on trail days.

    MOABMOABMOABMOBMOABMOAB!!!

I've been thinking of a name for the truck. For the longest time I called it the red rocket. But it's by no means a "rocket" hahah.

    I now officially introduce.... "Stumpy"

The perfect name. It's low, wide, and short :)

Stumpy is pretty good. Mine I think might get the name of "Skid Plate" they get just as many dirt/rock miles as the tires.

Well I spent the morning getting everything ready.... The truck is packed and ready to go. Even with the box shortened 11" and a full sized spare, I have tons of room. Tools are inside bolted down, spare parts bag and axles are in the back. Big toat. 2 coolers, 2 water jugs, 1 cot, bed rack with highlift, shovel and axe. Just need to fill up before we leave on Friday. But till then stumpy gets tucked away in the garage.

I was going to change the carrier bearing before I left, but 1/4" of play won't hurt anything. I'm sure it'll need changing when I get back :)

Haven't had any problems with the CV's yet "knock on wood". I have spares for my trip just in case. The front isn't locked so that has a good part to do with not blowing axles.

The power is awesome. No issues power wise so far. Maybe a little underpowered in the deep snow when lots of wheel speed is needed, but floatation and being so light makes up for not sinking.

The adjustable billies are good. Not great but good. If your eventually looking into doing some more "hardcore" wheeling, I would go straight to a coilover.

Duratracs....junk lol. I had them and will NEVER! Go back. Shitty sidewalls. They wear really really funny. They "chunk" when ran on rock. The only good thing they are good for ice icy snowy roads.

I don't know what you have to wheel in your area, but a lot of people run them here because of the snow. That's about it.
