22 gauge. The rockers have 16gauge behind the 22 to help just in case it rubs. But I've compressed it every way and nothing hits so I think I'm good :) I didn't see a point in running a thicker gauge steel than the body itself. Plus it's all one piece, so there are no "splits" for it to crack on if it does rub

Nice! Good luck! If I were to do it again (which I am for the passenger side) I would close all the vents in the truck and circulate a little fan through the cab to get rid of the horrible smell of burnt rubber and such while grinding. I turned the A/C on full blast the other day...my god was it nasty with dust and shit from grinding.

Honestly...nothing right now, maybe tundra coils in the future?

I like the ride as it is. Handles great on the trail and on the road. The bumps hit before anything, and it flexes good enough for me. What I can't "flex" or droop over, I'll just slide over haha. I want to keep the truck low and wide, I gained quiet a bit of width and height with just the tires alone. I couldn't be happier with the stance and height right now. I just plan on putting the sliders on enjoying it for the rest of the year :D

Haha, it was in the back of my mind the entire time...and honestly would have went a lot faster if I wasn't so paranoid about melting wires or catching the carpet on fire lol.

Gotcha. If you ever do, look into some Sway-A-Way adjustable coils. You can keep the 2.5" lift and the ride seems to be great from what i hear.

I wish I could get away with my tires sticking farther in BC. I just got hassled recently for having 2" sticking out passed the fenders

Yea once you get some real coils and shocks you'll be amazed at the ride improvement

O believe me, I've been hassled already for it. They threatened to impound the truck...the whole 9 yards. Like...fuck off. Go do something more constructive, instead of driving around construction sites at 6:30am looking for people to hand out tickets to. Busy trying to enjoy my coffee while the boom warms up, and along come these 2 retards with 10ft poles stuck up their asses. No good morning...nothing. Just "you know I can impound your truck right now and give you at least 5 tickets".

Umm...ok? Good morning to you to officer?

So...still trying to figure something out with the fender flares. As for right now thy are chillin in the box of the truck. Make it at least look like I'm going to put them on if I get pulled over lol. They'll go back on though. Soon!!

    Haha wow!

When i got hassled i asked why and the officer said "well sir, you will be shooting rocks out at other traffic and a pedestrian's clothes could get sucked into your wheel well if they were walking too close"

    HAHA good one buddy

Anyone come up with some good ideas for the fender flares haha? I hate looking at the truck with the massive holes in the fenders. I was thinking about plugging them with flat rubber grommets?

Yea the fenders are cut. I took 1 3/4" off the front and 1 inch off the rear. That's why the flares won't fit back on. Plus I don't have any fender liners. That's on my to do list before winter.

Well unfortunately I cant make the trip to the Dusy with Spoonman. September is just to busy of a month for me, with a move, 50th Birthday camping trip, and a long list of things that still need to get done to the truck. Inner and outer TRE's still need to go in. Get an alignment. Weld my sliders on....plus bob the box. I have everything ready for that though, should be pretty easy.

However, in October I will be heading to Moab with a good friend. Does anyone have GPS co ordinates for Behind the Rocks, and Poison Spyder? I would like to get everything plugged into the iPad pretty soon that way I can calculate time on the road and so on. Suggestions for good camping sites?

Any info would be greatly appreciated!
