Not sure how to respond to that.....

I used a grinder. A tube bender. A welder. Some heat wrap. Some rubber grommets for hangers. Some steel rod for hangers. And a muffler.

I just told you how I did my exhaust when you asked the first time lol

Awesome truck man! i love that front bumper too!

I thought you couldn't fit a 12-50 size tire on stock Tacoma wheels for 1st gens? i tried buying 33x12.5 on my truck and they said they wouldn't fit because the wheel is only 15 inches.:confused:

Full ome lift, nitro charger sports all 4 corners (rear shocks relocated), Dakar pack w/ AAL, 882 coils, diff drop, toytec 1" shackles, trail gear low profile front bumper, Tuff Stuff winch, bamf sliders, RAT skids, BAMF Bed Rack, Tepui Kukenam RTT, RAT rear bumper,

Well you need to find a shop that will say fuck it when it comes to 'guidelines' :) I'll be having a 33x12.5 mounted on a 15" factory spare in a few weeks. Just know (someone correct me i I'm wrong) that you'll probably need a spacer to keep the tire off your UCA with stock backspaces wheels.

That's correct! You just need to find a shop that'll instal them. I mean...half in on either side isn't going to make a huge difference. If you were to go with an 8" wide wheel that is.

And as far as the wheel spacer...you'll need at least an 1 1/4" wheel spacer to clean the UCA. What I did was cut the little nub off with a grinder that sticks out where the upper ball joint is. You can about 3/4" if you do that.

Tanner, have you thought about the ifs steering pump? I'm looking into it to see if it will work. My pump will be replaced in the neXt few weeks and I'd like to go ahead and upgrade it.

Lol I'm pretty sure that pump will absolutely grenade any power steering rack. That system is designed to run the ifs steering box SAS'd trucks. Rack and pinion doesn't see that much pressure, so forcing that pressure through it would blow every seal hahaha. I remember talking to some of the PSC guys during EJS about it. They said it wouldn't last 10 minutes.

Just went through your whole thread after seeing people I follow like your posts on instant-grahm... I think you've done more on 5100s with a wheelers add-a-leaf than anyone else I've seen- good work!

just curious, what r guys looking to gain from an upgraded pump when still running ifs with a steering rack?

i grenaded my pump last year in the sand dunes in moab. granted it was original and i was being super mean to it....
i replaced it with an oem pump and installed a p/s cooler. cut my return line and made some new soft lines and ran them to a cooler mounted in front of the condenser. this seems to be working awesome because 1 it obviously cools the fluid but 2, the system now holds alot more fluid.... fluid capacity helps with longevity of the pump and rack. check it out, was cheap and not too difficult to do.... more pics in my build

Well the truck has been getting some love lately. Replaced the drivers side axle seal, along with a new axle. No more leaks.

Replaced the power steering pump, but for some reason the new pump is leaking. From what I can tell, it's either leaking from the actual bearing and seal, or coming from the very bottom side of the banjo bolt. Anyone ever have a problem with either of the 2 leaking?

Once it warms up here I'll have to drain everything again and re check it. Makes no sense to me to have the new bearing and seal leak. The pulley only goes on so far, so it's not like it "seals" anything.

Haha thanks man. Just goes to show you it doesn't take fancy suspension and expensive parts to go fun places. And by fun I mean some of the more hardcore trails in the states. I've definitely gotten my monies worth out of the 5100's and AAL.
