Another question... did you just cut your fenders, or did you "roll" them?

Reading further back, it seems like you just cut them. How flimsy are they if that's the case? Pulled my flares off and looking at hacking them up as we speak...

Yea I cut mine. I took 1" of material off the back and 1 3/4" off the front. Didn't bother to roll them, just clean up the cut edge with a flap disk.

The fenders don't get flimsy from cutting, they get flimsy from removing all the innerds. The inner fender plastic in the rear really stiffens things up. Once that's gone shit gets flimsy. The front fenders are fine. Still very rigid

Haven't updated this in a while. I put big brakes on. 231mm tundra brakes with big pads. I was able to skid for about 20ft today when a deck box flew out of my truck down the highway. These things are great

Put new OEM tail lights in as my old ones were broken and held together with tuck tape. I found them locally for $80. Also put a stubby antenna on. Was tired of the old one flopping around

image.jpg Changed the transfer case fluid as well as the trans fluid. Trans hasent been changed since Dusy last year so I figured it was time. It was still a good color, but now I don't have to worry about it for the rest of the summer.

Fixed my flatbelly skid to. It's taken a couple good wacks and it's all bent out of shape. Bent it back and gave it some more support.

I need to diagnose a front end clunk on the drivers side before the Rubicon in the fall. Almost feels like the upper uni ball in the shock plate but I'm not sure. THAT will definitely be another weekend job.

I will be down there with Brian (thegame) for the Marlin Round Up, then probably back to his place for some BMX and monster jam shinanigans. More than welcome to meet up on those dates!

I had a single row 14" light bar laying around so I finally found a good place to put it. My buddy in town started his own machining business so we fine tuned his plasma table. Brackets came out amazing.

what process did you go through to undercoat your frame and rear axle? any chemical prep and did you go with por-15? I'm thinking of pulling my bed and sliders off at the end of summer to try to clean and seal up the frame as best i can.

Thinking of buying a quart of por-15 and wire wheeling off my frame from the cab-back as much as possible, its gotten quite a bit of surface rust and all of the undercoating that toyota applied is just flaking off and trapping moisture underneath itself

I wire wheeled for about 8 hours on day one, then coated on day 2. Didn't really chem prep anything. Just wiped it down after I was done. My truck is due for another brush though. I noticed yesterday when I was chasing wires for the tail light issue I had a small crack in the frame in between the gas tank and frame right near the cab. So I'm going to have to pull the box and drop the tank to fix that before the Rubicon in sept.

The number one spot these trucks rust through is in that spot. You virtually can't wash it at the car wash unless you actually lay on your back and hose it down.
