Yup. Drilled holes...filled the holes then welded around the entire perimeter of the plates.

Haha thanks man! 35's are sweet! Everyone that looks at the truck asks if they are 37's just due to the fact that its a small truck. With big tires :) haha

I don't know what Im gonna do for a bumper. Still waiting for this one to rip off. I've tried a number of times, and have come up unsuccessful haha. I would like to do a plate bumper eventually....who knows.

They just look more filled in with 35's I love the look of then! How do you like the kevlars? That's what I'm wanting to get, and keep the duratracs for winter. A plate bumper wouldn't be too hard to do if you took your time with it I don't think!

I told myself 35s is not doable on 3 inches and then I come across this...

I wouldn't trade the kevlars for anything! I love them. I've had them on anything from heavy rock, to cracked up slate, to mud. The rock we have here in Alberta is unbelievably sharp. Razor sharp. I already have a fair number of cuts and gashes in the lugs but nothing like I did with my Duratracs. The kevlars are holding up nicely!

Haven't had them in the winter yet, but from judging last winters pathetic dump of snow, I think I'll hold off on buying a dedicated snow/ice tire such as a geolander or something along those lines.

Damn... I want to go to 35s one day without going to a drop bracket and under 6 inches. As long as I can do it without destroying my flares...

35s no doable on 3" lift. You have been lying to yourself man haha. Most 35 tacos are on 2-3" haha.

Temples would be cool...but unless you cut exactly the same as him..won't do you any good.

This is correct! Hence why I have 2 templates. One for each side. It would be extremely hard to cut both sides exact from one template. Mostly because so much sheet metal comes out.

    Yea basically.

That said. The cardboard method for making your own is pretty easy. If you can't do that...probably shouldn't be welding and cutting the truck in the first place haha

Hmm, true. I was thinking maybe more of a template on what to cut. Kind of like what you get when you buy a Safari Snorkel.

Can't do that either. Wheel BS and brand will effect that as well as wear and suspension setup.

It's a custom job. No way around it. Why not a lot of people do it.
