Anyone know of Toyota dealerships in Southeast Texas that are selling their vehicles at MSRP or less brand new?
    TIA!

I just paid $3500 over MSRP for a 2021 TRD Pro, all in all I didn't think that was too bad, they wanted $5K over MSRP but I negotiated down to $3500. They will sell the Non TRDs at MSRP if you haggle with them a bit. Stadium Toyota in Tampa, good guys there. The problem right now remains that there is barely any inventory and few are incoming. You need to just call every dealer and see if you can get lucky to find something that is coming in on the truck thats not sold yet.

I noticed that a local dealer had a new 4Runner TRD Off-Road on the lot for two weeks, sitting right in front of the showroom's doors. I figured that they were taking offers as to why it sat there so long.

The other complexity at least here in Florida is the majority of the Tacomas, 4 Runners and Tundras are all 4x2 RWD, so if you want a 4x4 it limits your options even more. Even though I live in FL, I would only by a 4x4 - to me it defeats the purpose of having a truck to have RWD only. I am not a frequent off roader, but I want the capability of a 4x4 at my fingertips when I need it or want it.

Not to mention having to deal with Southeast Toyota Distributors and their distributor installed rip-off add ons which are harder to negotiate away these days.

Yep, I got ripped off also by Southeast Toyota distributors with the predator steps, toyo Guard, a million dollars for front LED lights in the cabin some other BS for an inspection that they do. Its unreal that scam, but hey it is what it is and in this environment we are at the mercy of what is available.

    THIS.

OP...if you can look around the country you can find what you want (should be able to). I went as far as Kansas...Olathe Toyota June of last year. I would not give these thieves down this way one cent. Not even a half a cent.

Olathe Toyota and Legends Toyota in Kansas will sell all Tacomas they have allocated for MSRP and will greatly negotiate your trade if you have one.

All you Americans who live near the Canadian borders should come here to buy your Tacos. With your strong dollar and here in Canada the dealership are more customer friendly and honest. No shit they are you won't know till you buy here just saying.

If you do that you have to be willing to drive back to Canada for warranty service.

Not sure about that. I think any Toyota would honor your warranty. Something to look into.

Since you also mentioned Olathe....to the OP - go talk with Kyler. Stand up guy...I told him what I wanted with no bells and whistles. Only thing he couldn't do was find my primary color choice. And he also did not let me fall into the "added warranty crap trap". Called him 3 times on this and he just said "no, not needed - don't do it". And I'm a life long tacoma guy but something was telling me to "just buy the warranty". Thankfully I didn't.

My future 4runner will most likely come from those guys.

Interesting the way Toyota Canada words it: "Toyota Canada warrants each new vehicle, registered in Canada and operated in Canada or the mainland United States. Warranty begins when the vehicle is registered in service, which may be prior to the date that you purchased it." You're right, anyone who is contemplating this should investigate first.

Don't know about new vehicles being manufactured for highway use being able to have a reciprocal warranty between canada, and the u.s., but i can tell you stuff like snowmobiles and atv/utv's are not.

That, I have no idea as I have never known anyone who has purchased any of those recreational vehicles from the U.S.

Just as someone who has been looking for a 2021 or 2022 Off Road or Pro. There are definitely dealers out there that will deal in MSRP...it takes some leg work. Here in MA I had to call probably 3 dozen dealers in MA/NH/CT/RI and I found a local dealer that would go to MSRP on a 22 Off Road or Pro so I left a deposit for a Army Green Off-road build:

    Double Cab, short bed, auto
    Premium package or
    Advanced tech package
    TRD skid plate
    TRD suspension kit
    TRD exhaust

Basically said order me the package that'll get filled faster (prem vs adv tech) and also said if they get a lime 22 Pro let me know because I might just take that. I'm leaning the Off-road though...just like that army green.
