First off, let me state that on all things unrelated to ktjo grab handle, I consider @tonered to be the fountain of knowledge and wisdom :). If I were coming into this today I'd just bust out the dremel and bug Tony for help if I get in trouble b/c he's that nice of a guy. The downside to that approach is the downtime while you're dremeling but I assume that portion isn't all that long? I am tempted to try doing mine with the dremel since I have it sitting around, but I'm 2016 and the kit mod is pretty stealth as it mostly sits under the heat shield so I don't think there's much of any real concern if I ever do go to the dealer.

My solution on the delete was to use a kit made by TW user Trident who no longer makes the kit. I think you could probably source the components and pre-fab the line to match the pictures posted of the kit he used to make if you really wanted to, though I don't know where he sourced parts from. I don't think I have leaks but I'm not checking it all that often and I drive about 40 miles a month maybe?

I did bleed the clutch all by my lonesome. I asked the wife to help for 2 person operation and she just laughed at me for how stupid I could be to even think that was an appropriate use of her time. My 5 year old can't really reach the pedals and would probably punk me by taking the ebrake off and throwing it in neutral, so I'd have to pre-stage some cinder blocks and my 3 year old, though sweet and much more willing to attempt to follow directions, well, he's only good at breaking or dropping things. So, yeah, I don't really get much of any help with truck mods...

Why not just use a flexible brake line? You could leave the accumulator bolted still and just bypass it.

If your line is leaking, I imagine its because you buggered something up like the threading.

Did you ever swap yours for the dremel version?

Not yet. I have a bad motivation problem at the moment. On the shelf is the dremel mod with a new unused Dremel since my 20yr old one is TU, the 400w mod with a rear seat outlet, the anytime fog mod, some DD Pro Floods, and I just ordered some Nioco.

I've sat on mods for over a year. Then I read some horror story on here then never do it. (not the adm mod, yet)

Procrastinating isn't bad, but there have been times when I could have used the functionality of the mods. Oh well.

I've found if you wait long enough, half of them you don't really need. The ones I do need are not available for the MT, we get no love. So I bought a welder and plasma cutter and doing my own. ;)

The only questionable one is the anytime fogs. I haven't needed them out late as we don't have the deer problem like back east.

    Just a motivation problem.

You got me going on fog lights. I wouldn’t ever want them on with high beams but would be super nice to have them on without low beams.

Is yours a kit? Or home brewed?

I’m contemplating a home brewed solution which would feed in at the connector behind the front bumper

Yes, which at this point means my grille lights on too and the combo of DRL + grille might be more glare than I’d care for if I encountered legit fog conditions. I’m not sure and likely won’t ever encounter such a situation but it would be nice to have completely independent control.
