Suppose it depends what kind of warrantee work you need done (in a hyperthetical future). I would assume the avg schmuck of an employee is not taught the in's and outs of every single vehicle offered by Toyota. So I would assume they wouldn't know to look for an accumulator.

Now, if it is clutch related warrantee work that you would want done, it's possible they would inspect the line as part of diagnosis and then see that parts are missing if you were to remove the accumulator. The Dremel mod would be very descrete and tough to spot, even for the most experienced techs.

    Nice work!

    Thanks for the great details.

How is the position of the pedal compared to the OG?

As the clutch is a wear item, there is little to no warranty. It mainly comes down to how friendly your dealer / service writer is.

If you have more than a few thousand miles, I would consider no warranty coverage on most of the clutch.

This is actually the method i want to go with on 2020 .. i am planning on buying a new accumulator ($100 bucks from toyota) and milling the “channel” to bypass the routing of the accumulator … the seal you are referring to is between the accumulator body and mounting point … if your truck is brand new you shouldnt have a problem reusing the old seal .. just be careful when removing it

Sorry, I didn't measure the before and after distance between brake and clutch. The height off of the floor feels the same.

When I got out of the shower this morning, my wife asked me if I had fallen down. I said, "no, why?"
I knew I had been uncomfortable under the dash, and I might have been laying on a socket wrench once or twice, but damn!
This is my right back/side. I'm holding my arm above my head for the photo. Getting old sucks. :D

Not measurements exactly, but does it feel the same for working the pedal?

Working under the dash is never fun.

I thought about doing the same. I actually ordered one, along with my brake pads, from toyotapartsdeal.com. Only to get an email saying national backorder, with no eta on shipment of the accumulator. I haven't checked with any other places yet. Just fyi.

    @ShirtTucker

    Besides this question:

I am stupidly curious if it would be possible to do the pedal swap by removing the clock spring and only unbolting the master cylinder but not disconnecting the reservoir and outlet lines? Basically, is there a no bleed, no fluid fucking possibility?

Annnnd finally, I can't seem to find what parts you bought. Did you buy the full list that @su.b.rat noted or just the metal pedal bits?

    Thanks!

    Hey, Folks.

I added @ShirtTucker 's metal pedal write up to the bottom of the 1st Post.

@su.b.rat . You might want to post it in your build thread?
