As others have answered, that is not correct. The clutch should return fully and smoothly.

When I bled mine I bled it two ways. One was with a second person pushing down the clutch pedal just like you would with brakes. The other way is to close the bleeder and depress the clutch fully, then just crack the bleeder.

The clutch is spring loaded so if you fully depress the clutch and load the spring it will also force fluid out the bleeder.

The very first time I did it I had air in the system too (very short clutch travel). It worked itself out in a day.

I bled mine for probably 20 pumps (open bleeder, slam clutch to the floor, close bleeder, pull clutch pedal back up) after gravity bleeding a few minutes. It still had a super soft feel after the bleeding. After a drive or two just using the clutch pedal fixed itself and it’s felt normal ever since.

I think air gets trapped in the MC when you pinch the hose. Even if you pinch the hose super tight, fluid will still run out to some degree while you work. I think this ends up putting some air in the MC which works its way back out once you’re using the clutch naturally again.

Well, the idiot who installed mine didn't pinch the hose. So I.... I mean, he let all the brake fluid out.

Anyone looked into low viscosity brake fluid to further improve clutch feel? I ran this for a while in my old car to improve abs performance (no idea if it helped, I never engaged abs after doing so)

I ran DOT 5.1 in bike for a while. It was a PITA as it caused my master seals to leak. Took me forever to figure out, including new masters. Switching back to DOT 4 fixed the issue almost immediately.

So, you could try it, but check for other issues that might crop up.

Sorry, I was thinking specifically for the clutch.

Since the clutch moves a greater volume of fluid than the brakes the LV fluid viscosity may have an affect on pedal feel. It should certainly have an effect when it comes to cold weather, but lv fluid may also help with the feel.

I plan to swap out to lv soon since I think it will complement the delete disk, plus it should be a bit more consistent in the cold

And since you're driving an off-road, your clutch reservoir is separate from the brake reservoir. On the sports they are the same reservoir. I would just worry about seals but it might not be a big enough difference to affect it. If you do try it, let us know.

I had the same issue so I had to bleed the system again and it got rid of it for the most part. It still happened a little bit but after a day or two it went away and hasn’t happened again.

Since the weather turned cold the day after I finished, I haven't wanted to crawl under the truck to re-bleed. But, I have to say the clutch, after a couple days feels great, Like you and others have said, it self heeled. Now just waiting for the weather to warm up again to get the 4th bolt back in the heat shield.

About a month and a half ago, I ordered one of @Firn's ADM discs, and it managed to get lost in USPS land, so he quite awesomely sent me another one (via UPS that time).

Well, after about 6 weeks wandering the landscape, the USPS shipped disc finally showed up, drunk and naked :)

So, I now have a spare disc. I spoke with Firn about this, and he thinks it's appropriate to go ahead and pay this one forward to someone here who wants one.

    I'll cover shipping.

I think it probably won't be too horrible for any interested party to go ahead and PM me (I'll count any that show up on 1 dec as valid), and I'll toss a dice or something like that to choose the winner.
