Quick feedback since doing the mod on Thursday,I did the dremel hack mod,35 minutes start to finish. I just love it,shifts are smooth and predictable, unlike before when it seemed like you were slipping the clutch all the time waiting for it to engage.

    EXACTLY.

Everything is repeatable now, muscle memory. Taking off on a steep grade? Also predictable. I love it.

It's weird, here I am raving over something that Toyota should have known M/T pilots would want from their trucks.

You mean like having it go as well as give you more power when you press the accelerator pedal? Thank god OVtune fixed that one too.

I never had this issue, so I have nothing to look for. Garaged and temps usually above freezing around here, I suppose.

@RedBeard1 said that removing the rubber gaiter from the slave worked for him? GDM, anybody?

Something is changing with lower temperatures. I would be inclined to change fluid first and see what happens.
Didn’t someone mention Ford brake fluid?? IDK I have CRS (can’t remember shit).
I would try it but we don’t get that cold here :p

IDK that there is much that can be done. The brake fluid changes viscosity with temperature like most oils and fluids in a vehicle. I would doubt there exists a compatible fluid that we could use that maintains viscosity in cold temperatures. Remember guys, our clutch hydraulics use the same reservoir as our brakes. I personally will deal with a sluggish pedal for a few miles and not risk compromising my braking system and the expensive components in it. If the Ford fluid meets all the required specs that may be worth a try.

Do not use 5.1. It is good stuff and is compatible, but shrank the seals a bit and caused my masters to leak on my motorcycle, both stock and a new one.

I swapped in Motul DOT 4 and things got better.

I would have bet my new avatar that it would help out in colder weather. In fact, I will still say that it has to help a bit. If you don't have
some fluid sitting in a chunk of ice cold metal, it has to help the fluid flow better. Surprisingly, we haven't had any very cold weather here
yet this winter. Ah well... like you said, it's more about regaining the clutch feel.

Did the ADM on my truck yesterday. All I can say is holy crap, I know how to drive a stick again!!
This along with OVTune (1.5 years ago) are by far the best two mods I've done so far; they compliment each other perfectly!

Would switching the fluid to a DOT4 help? Isn't DOT4 a little more viscous?

The DOT rating applies to temperature rating not viscosity. ;)
