    Lol. Yes, absolutely sure this time. I’m gonna be home for a total of 10 days between now and the end of March, so once these are gone, I’m done.

    Come Monday, I’m gone until Feb 11th with the exception of 3 days in the middle.

    Modified the level of gas in the tank
    Got my ppl in 97...stopped there. At 30 was too old to go commercial. A hobby it shall be. Easier on a mariage tho lol

    funny. i went into two different careers for passion then they both became work and that was tough. at one time about 20 years ago i was convinced i needed to get into aviation or aviatronics, because "i always loved that..." and at that point i started to realize the differences between a hobby/passion and work. so i stayed my course and never got into flying and all. and then it happened that a good chunk of my clients are professional aviators.

    I’ve been flying since I was a kid. Both grandfathers flew in WWII and owned small planes when I was young. I flew in the Navy and have been doing it ever since.

    Nice! My biggest regert was not getting my sailplane license at school when it was stupid cheap and easy. I was the only undergrad with a slew of grad students that had a more open schedule.

    I finally came to grips with it all through motorcycles as an early midlife crisis.

    Smart man! I graduated (stupidly) as an aero eng thinking that I would design aircraft. :rofl::rofl::rofl: Quick lesson learned there. I've been working as a ME since. A lot of OTJ learning. No real complaints other than the kids draining all the fun $$.

    Sweet! Though I do understand the downsides that you posted about. I've worked on many VIP projects and their aftermath. Ha!

    My hope since I was about 10yrs old was to attend the AF Academy and fly Eagles or Warthogs. It never dawned on me that the decent money was in the Starlifters and Galaxys. I had a recommendation but missed the appointment due to quotas.

    No real regerts other than that missing soaring license. I just need to go carve some corners to move it further back in my head.
