Yeah I need to find one of those. Or a heated garage. Or build one

Garage, heat, and a lift at my house. Time is what I’m lacking. :annoyed: Perfectly good ADM still in the shipping package that trident sent it to me in. Really looking forward to getting it done but at this point I don’t know when that’ll be.

Anyone thought about replacing the clutch line with a stainless steel line at the same time as this mod since you’ll have to bleed the system anyways?

    Hey, Folks.

I finally looked up the 2.7l MT clutch lines. I added a pic of it to the bottom of the OP.

No accumulator. Also, it doesn't look like those parts would be of any help to the 3.5l crowd. It is @Trident904 's kit, what @lapoltba comes up with, or hack together your own setup.

Now, explaining the clutch funkiness that 2.7l folks talk about? I have no idea.

I ordered the replacement hose yesterday. Hoping they can get it to me quickly. I ordered it slightly longer than I think it needs to be. I expect I will have to go up and over the rear upper shield bolt.

Guess that explains why my brother doesn't complain about his clutch nearly as much as I do...

I have heard a couple folks complain, but that might be the tune? They have no solution yet from Toyota or otherwise.

wonder why there's two different philosophies on design? You think it'd be an both-or-neither thing coming from the same company even though the 2.7 is an older engine......unless they thought the V6 was so powerful that it needed a granny on it for MT newbies

either way, still can't wait to kill this thing in the spring

edit: one of these days we need to find a MT driving design engineer at Toyota and convince them to get on TW haha

The same thoughts were running through my head, esp as newbs would probably start with the lower cost model? Just strange.

You are in for some joy. Not having it made a difference that I could feel in snow. No jerkiness if you needed to get a touch of slip to keep the tires from spinning when getting going.

I just paid some labor to do it, 70$ with parts, well worth it IMHO

The 2.7 doesn't have enough power to tear itself up, that's why... ***ducks***

I'd say just about any half smart mechanic can do that, especially under a lift.. I went to the shop I always went to with my 2nd Gen and printed him some instructions taken from this thread, he used a hard line.
