Just finished up my ADM. no problems with install minus the exhaust bracket being a pain to remove from the cat. Definitely
A noticeable difference in feel. 1-2 stumble pretty much gone. Question though, i put my heat shield back on and the line still sticks out from the back. Anyone think this will be a problem? Pr should I go back on and bend it behind the cover?[IMG]

Should be fine as long as you have a good transmission skid.

I have no skids. So it is mildly exposed. I also don’t off-road this thing, 99% on road

Took me about twice as long as it should have, thanks to the upper-most flare nut, but I removed my accumulator today.

I echo what others have said about the clutch finally feeling like it should have from the factory. Thanks to @tonered for this thread, and @Trident904 for the kit he developed to simplify the upgrade!

Does this mod stop the whole clutch pedal doesn't work when it's really cold outside thing, too? If so, I'm doing it during the next oil change.

I have never had that problem before or after the ADM. But, folks who did the ADM over the winter said that they still get the slow engagement on cold mornings.

@RedBeard1 did say that he had less of a problem after he removed the gaiter that is on the end of the slave cylinder pushrod.

It seems like every time the temp drops below zero, the truck has to warm up for an hour before I can leave for work. It's been to 2 different dealerships. not much left on the warranty, a set of 285/70 17 Nittos are in the bed waiting to be mounted, and I'm shopping for 2" spacers and lift blocks. Go big or go home, right? This is the first vehicle I ever had with a warranty and I've specifically avoided researching whatever it was that made the clutch newbie friendly just in case it was simple to crawl under the truck and rip the *** **** thing off. Now that I stumbled across this thread, I know what I've got to do.

The cold weather clutch stuck to the floor is the boot on the transmission bellhousing. Want to test this go get some canned air duster, spray the boot with the can upside down and freeze the boot. Climb in the truck and push the clutch. If it doesn’t stick you will at the very least notice a difference in return speed.

Edit: below 17*f seems to be where I have had issues.

You're referring to the boot on the end of the slave cylinder, correct? Are you saying that the extreme temp just makes the rubber hard? That makes a whole lot of sense.

What did you do to fix it, just rip it off? How do you keep the crap out of there?

Still think I want to make that accumulator delete happen, might as well do it all at once.

Now that I know what is causing it I don’t worry about it. When it is cold I high idle the truck for a minute or two so that the cats light off and thaw it out. 8-1200* 8” away seems to do the trick.

Just finished this mod. Here is my initial impression. I really can’t tell much of a difference I don’t think. I feel like there is less back pressure on the pedal though. It seems to engage a little lower in the pedal travel. I’m just praying nothing starts leaking. I’ve never bled a clutch before but everything seems ok. If I had air in the lines would I know right away?

I'm sorry that it didn't give you a big change.

With the engagement being lower, you might have a bit of air in there. There is the thought that doing some driving around will get the bubbles to flow up to the reservoir.

If you had serious air in there, the pedal would not come up off of the floor.

Hopefully you find more goodness with the mod as the miles rack up.

sounds like you have some air in the line. a few bubbles will make a noticeable different in feel and engagement.

I bleed mine excessively to make sure there's nothing left in the line.
