    Good catch.

@C41n I would get this corrected so it doesn't potentially cause a leak in the long term. Annoying? Yes... but you already know what to do now.

And that's way less annoying than being stuck in the woods or on a trail because your clutch hydraulic system failed at the worst time.

I also would not want to lay in the mud trying to fix this, and that's assuming someone brought spare fluid and tools.

No shame in making a mistake. It took me quite a while to do this mod in my driveway and I've been turning wrenches for years.

I will admit to being so OCD that I was convinced I hadn't bled it enough. So I did it again. Lol... unnecessary.

Ah fuck. That sucks. Thanks for the heads up.

That top one was a pain to tighten. Think I would have problems just leaving it and adding one to the bottom?

Busted knuckles, leaky fittings, bleeding lines for ages.....tie wire!?!?!. Fucking tie wire?!?!?!?

Why am I seriously thinking about doing this mod to my $30k truck?

Oh that's right! Because my clutch has less sensation than a raw hide condom. Thanks Toyota.

I felt the same way, except for the 30k part (I wish it was that low).

Shed my first blood over my truck on this. Worth every bit of the 4-5 hours it took me (counting rebleeding and generally being terrible at working on vehicles). Oh and I have to go back in and move a washer.

    Still worth it. :D

If the prefab'd hard line fittings are a problem. Couldn't a guy just salvage the toyota fittings from the line off the slave end and use them on a new piece of hard line?

Come on! It was nice stainless bailing wire. :D

Just get the dremel out and make a nice big port.

Someone grabbed a section of Toyota brake line from a salvage yard.

@C41n - I see you used the P2M Honda AP1 S2000 stainless clutch line, I think this is the route I'm going to take as well. Did you have to trim your heat shield at all? Your last photo looks like you got the shield on and it hides everything nicely. I recall you mentioned you had to adjust the fitting to clear the shield which is what led you to all the extra bleeding but didn't see if you actually had to modify the shield.

Doesn't anyone do the dremel mod?

I found it super easy, just gotta make sure the accumulator is cleaned out well before re-installing.

    Meh :notsure:

Being that it is just two drilled ports, cleaning should be easy with just brake cleaner or a pipe cleaner if you have any doubts.

I have a dremel and have seen mentions of it but didn't see a guide on exactly how much material to remove, where to remove it etc. It's not listed as an option in the 1st post of this thread either.

    Yep.

I made my cut between the ports more defined (almost vertical sides). You can easily make the "channel" between the ports as deep as the diameter of the ports themselves. Plenty of meat there to cut into.
You just gotta be a bit careful to not damage the lip where the O-ring seats.

Ah I totally missed that, thanks for pointing me to it. I saw on post #297 that it seems the port channel is one part of the fix but the inlet and outlet of the accumulator also have built in restrictions. Did you guys do anything with those?
