So does the dremel mod perform just like the full line mod?

Yes. All the mods shown in the 1st Post work exactly the same, just look a bit different.

I finally did this today. I actually started with a 12" brake line and coupler to try it out before modifying the accumulator. Very happy with the results, but I did notice a difference between the bent brake line and the modified accumulator, clutch grabs a little lower with the modded accumulator, don't really know why.

    Looking good!

The engagement zone should not change with the ADM, regardless of method. With no other changes, the only explanation that I can think of is air in the lines.

Does this mod help with starting swiftly from a complete stop? With the manuals I've noticed that when trying to start quickly the truck kind of falls on its face a little (though the OV tune has helped a ton).

Not really. Are you running the 2.0 for OVT? The falling on it's face is a tuning issue (clutch completely out, press throttle, wait, wait, wait, GO!)

Same. That was fixed in one of the 1.05 releases thankfully. 2.0 has been great for me.

I would venture to guess there is still a slight dampening effect with the Dremel mod vs the bypass.

If you think about it the accumulator is still going to disperse fluid in a non linear fashion, just way easier.

I did the Dremel because it was free, and after doing it the clutch feels like a regular clutch instead of that weird shit. So at the end of the day, Dremel it.

if you have VF tuner i found that changing the settings in the primary throttle command to help.

if you look, the throttle has a big jump then as the RPMs rise (which they do immediately) then it falls off.

i smoothed this out, it helped a ton. however, it does negatively affect the ability to rev match from low rpm (1000-1500)

    top is stock and ovtune

bottom is mine (please go to the vf threads for anything further on this as we dont want to muddy this thread up)

BS is great here. Not much else to say about the ADM other than to do it.

    Posts help keep it fresh.

Finally got around to knocking this out today and I gotta say its like a whole new truck. Before the ADM I'd really focus on my shifts and couldnt get them smooth and just felt like a shitty driver lol. Now its so smooth with pretty much no effort. Easily the best ~$15 I've spent on a car.

Toyota trans loves Redline MT90, a lot of owners are using it.

I would say so. Redline has helped greatly on other vehicles. MT-90 certainly made the Taco even better and got rid of the problem getting it into 1st at a stop.

For me, FI is only there if heavier towing doesn't go well. 1st and 2nd are plenty of fun as is. Over 80mph? I like my current license status. :D
