My dealership said that there weren’t any issues or fixes for clutch pedals. After doing research I knew they were lying. Hopefully your dealership is at least not like mine. Most are probably good people. Mine are shady and lie a lot.

Ya we’ll see but at least I know now that this is an issue affecting a lot of trucks and there is a fix available..

Oh yes fixable. But tell that to they twinkle nuts at my dealership. They said there weren’t even drivers having clutch issues and then they said they couldn’t recreate it either.

Mine just started doing this last week. Had the truck in for 10k mile service but didn't mention it. I'll mention it at the next service or grease it myself to see if that works.

I don’t think they realize there are huge forums with tons of enthusiasts where we all talk about the same problems we are having..

It’s funny you say that, because my advisor told me that these forums are a joke and people just get on her and spread lies. That’s totally untrue.

All I have ever done on here is get more informed as to all the stuff that is wrong with our trucks. I think they feel threatened by word of mouth.

I had mentioned it before, but if you do end up greasing it yourself use Disc Brake Grease on all the pivot points and it will fix the Barn Door creaky sound.

Had my 15K service this past week even though truck has just a little over 10K. Service advisor wrote down the clutch issue. Tech greased bushing. Super easy now to push in, and quiet.

Don't be shocked if the sound returns again as the grease drips off in hot weather.

I'm certain this is the clutch pedal pivot bushing. As member @shakerhood has mentioned in other threads, use a synthetic disk brake caliper grease to pack the plastic bushings. The synthetic grease is plastic firendly. Its a SOB to work with due to tight quarters and getting the pivot bolt back in was difficult for me, but it will be smoother than factory once done. Careful, some parts under the dash have some pretty sharp edges!

Mine developed the barn door creak about a week ago at roughly 4500 Miles. It’s been hot and humid so that’s consistent. Sometimes it feels like there is a click? Just feels off as well but am hoping that’s in my head due to the noise.

Got some brake grease but couldn’t figure out what I was supposed to lubricate before I had to leave for vacay.

Decided to set up an appt for when I get back later this week.

Will update after the service visit on Saturday.

    *Update*

Got my truck back today. Once again the same dealer said they couldn’t tell anything wrong with it. Needless to say, I will not be using that Warrenton Toyota in Virginia anymore.

I have a dealer closer to me anyway and when I go to do my 25k in the future I will bring it up at that point. Just hope you guys have a better dealer experience than me.

Service visit today where problem was replicated but they did not proceed on the TSB (I think because I have a 2018 model). They opened up a case with Toyota and wanted to discuss with them on Monday first before proceeding. They sounded positive there would be a resolution. They said they greased it but still could hear a bit of squeak/creak/clicking, which shouldn't be the case.

Here is a 5 second fix. I just had to do this again after about 20,000 miles. This makes the creaky clutch issue a non issue really. Takes way longer to find your reading glasses and a flashlight than to spray the moving parts of the “blue spring”.
I got this at either Lowe’s or The Home Depot. Can’t remember. It’s great for lots of stuff around the house. It is so useful that you may want to keep it in your truck. Once I started using this product, my eyes were opened to all sorts of things that “needs lubricated”.D6348449-7591-4C4C-BDAE-D2B43F89BB11.jpg

Anything that's a pivot point.... So get down there and push the pedal down and anything that moves....
