I searched and couldn’t find it. Wasn’t there someone who sold solid shift bushings for 2nd gens? My shifter has a lot of movement while in gear.

Make sure its not the bushing between the black top of the shifter and the silver portion that goes down into the trans. That is know to wear out and cause a sloppy shifter too

I do have movement between those. Is there a simple fix to remove it?

I havent found a simple fix, but if you've got a welder, ive heard of people running a bead in there and that takes care of it.
