I am trying to decide which tires to get for my 2007 Tacoma Double cab. I have done a good bit of research and am stuck between getting the Cooper stt pro at $232 each (have read great reviews) and the Mastercraft Courser MXT at $165 each (reviews also sound pretty good). Has anyone have experience with these tire? The price difference is pretty extreme. I run 265/75 16s. I have had Firestone MT's in the past and were pretty decent most recently I have had Maxxis Big Horn and wasnt pleased with the balancing and uneven wear despite rotating every oil change. Trying to avoid another let down! Thanks in advance for any help.

Of the two, I vote stt pro.

Otherwise my vote is the cooper MTP.

I bought the coursers. Bear in mind that I run the AXT's. The cooper were there as well as the Michelins. I went for the michelins and came home with the coursers. The cooper and courser are literally identical. I'm sure there's some secret squirrel compound in the rubber, but the coursers were one hell of a deal. The michelins were outrageous, I can literally almost run two sets of the coursers for the cost of the Michelins. My buddy runs a dodge 3500 cummins and swears by the coursers. Nothing eats tires like a cummins. He gets 40k out of a set, so I think 50-60k is pretty reasonable. Its up to you, but that was what I did.

I'm also reeeeally close to buying the MXT's off Amazon. I was sold on the Pros until I read about them and I've heard nothing but good. Just don't know if I want to go the safe route with 265/75 or push it with the 285/75s.
