@jjones.yota windrock is basically like middle Black but way easier ... you'll be fine :) @Bannerman @SummitBound and I rode black and bennett yesterday

I think we should set a record for 1up and see how many we can link together before the front wheels lift on the truck

@backcountryj - will your coil be in before the Trip ? It took around 3.5 weeks for mine

Unsure. The dealer I ordered through said Push quoted him 5 week lead times (after windrock trip).

At the same time I was working with the dealer, a Push rep stated via live chat that they were at 3-4week lead times (possibly before windrock).

    Long story short, maybe

Sorry everyone, hate that I'm missing out on the TN trip. And yeah, I'm rarely on the TW forum this year. After spending the day on a computer I'm not interested in spending my free time on here as well.

It's been a year since we've ridden Fire Mtn.
In some ways its similar to Kanuga:
    1. There are two ways up to the top, a steep fire road and a longer, but more mellow 2 way trail
    2. Multiple lines going down. The toughest at Fire Mtn might be similar to Rhoto Ruckus or GNCC at Kanuga.
No pass needed at Fire Mtn.
The trail builders were adding new lines and features last spring, focus seems to be on Blue level features. Overall, smooth and groomed. Not the gnar you find in Pisgah or Dupont.
I've been a long time tourist in the Cherokee area. Makes me happy to see them focus on this type of development.

I've got a OneUp HD double and a RakAttach swing out. I don't think it has any negative effect on the departure angle. The downside is that the weight of the bikes is now higher and further back from the rear bumper and leads to the bikes swaying for and aft a little when going over big dips in the road. I still believe they are 100% secure. I did buy some short rafting straps and ran them over the headset on one occasion. The straps seems to act like the shepherd's hook that the Kuat racks have.

@honda50r I've talked to @jjones.yota about this already but wanted your opinion; Jeff just bought a little camp trailer, do you think he can make it across the little ditch to get to the group site we have? @eidsondesign has doubts but said there was another site close by he could probably use, he also said maybe with some boards to drive across he could make it?

Check the first post, I added the pictures they had online. Looks like nothing to me...

but again, a Tacoma with a hitch bike rack did hit their rack in the ditch, and it was also the first question she asked me when I booked the site.

Id think that trailer would be pretty capable. Mine sits a bit higher but is probably the same length and ive drug it through 4 ft deep narly ditches without issue. We can get him through it between us all watching.

I sent that photo to Jeff a couple days ago and told him it looked like no problem, but Dave said this weekend that it might be a little deceiving

    Pics never do justice.

Matt and I will be there Wednesday night though and could tell you guys for sure or not before y’all head out. Give him a day at least to make other arrangements for camp

You aren’t gonna have to move it at all, so up to you. You’ll be more comfortable with the trailer

Yeah the ditch is bigger than you think. Between all of us and some beer we can get him through it. There is firewood beside the ditch so may be able to fill the ditch and drive the trailer over it

That's kinda what Dave said. Alright, I'll let Jeff know to still bring it. He would be really disappointed if he couldn't haha
