    I put a CC inline(AIR) on my Gen2 SC Tallboy. It transformed the bike. Small bump compliance was improved significantly, big hit control was better and it felt like I gained 10mm of travel coming from the OEM Fox. It really felt like having my cake and eating it, too. Got 3 seasons out of it, with a factory service after 2, then sold it and it was working great. I can't recommend them more for a smaller FS bike.

    Dern. I sold 190x50 late last year that probably would have worked for you. The bike it was on was spec’d for a 190x45. The extra stroke worked just fine though.

    @GrundleJuice mine was on a V4 Tallboy.
    And yea, it made a great bike a completely new animal with the coil...in a phenomenal way.

    I've been wanting to go with a coil. The shock on mine now is just a crappy rockshox that doesn't have any adjustment other than rebound and air pressure.

    So does changing the shock size mess with anything? My LBS guys told me to stick with the same size?

    For sure you need the same eye to eye length. May can get a slightly longer stroke if you have the clearance

    What @Bannerman said. The shock I added was the same eye to eye, and the longer stroke worked with the frame.

    I don’t know if a longer stroke shock would work on your frame. You could research it. Might open up some other options for you.

    I watched some pretty new guys, like me, enjoy windrock on a Specialized Epic and a hardtail.
    It's enjoyable for everyone if you go in with reasonable expectations of ability I think.

    Only the best.
    The key is dont look at it or think about it ride the trail commit and send it. Thats how i always did it at new tracks when i raced BMX.
    1. Warm up in the parking loy
    2. Full send the entire track first lap. If you mess up then you know where to focus your remaining practice laps.

    Tom Walker had a good video on why sending it blind can be bad. Trails aren't groomed.
