That is one of the diagrams we are looking for, it shows how to chop the steer stop but it does not show the clearancing needs to be done on the LBJ " cup " area. Maybe when we find both Jon can add a link to the OP.

I really don't remember the LBJ cup clearance being in there but it was many years ago. I know I neded to cause I had these on my old DB and those ProComp spindles did not like the TC Lowers at a few places (all of which were PC components)

@Glueman Did you need to clearance the cup as well? Who else has these lowers?

Ill be happy to link this post up in the OP.

    Thanks Jason

I never needed to clearance the LBJ cup. I DID have to recently grind back some of the DB metal near the front inner bushing. It was rubbing near the top of suspension travel.

Jon, I am talking about a different spot not the same clearance issue you had with your old DB spindles. The older TC instructions showed an area of the LBJ adapter near the misslignment spacer that need to be beveled so it would clear the LCA at bump. I happen to have an extra for mock up ( top secret project ). This silver paint pen mark represents the area i think had to be clearanced :

edit - also remember a couple of years ago we were having the convo about folks with TC race lowers getting that half moon scar on the bottom of the lower near the uniball cup ? it was from the LBJ adapt hitting the bottom of the LCA

I looked while under mine this weekend and I didn't have marks just the marks from the cut steering stops impacting the edges. I'm not sure if mine doesn't compress fully to impact because of my bump stops or what.

Same here. My steering stops are really making a good dent in my lowers. Wish there was a flatter spot for the stop to make contact with the LCA.

I have the diff guard that looks like Gstring. It's beefy, and doesn't reduce clearance.

It's crazy thick and completely overkill, which makes it awesome!

    Copy, I misunderstood you.

I had to put it into the vice and beat the crap out of it. I think that for me it's perfect.
