    I should have let him know that the difficulty with having them filled on the truck is that you have to make sure you find a shop cool enough to jack up the truck and completely droop it out in order to properly fill them.

    Do this. And also a good idea if you are having to pay for nitrogen but are going to be doing testing and a few Valving changes back to back. The nitrogen is going to be better for the long term, but the characteristics between it and air will be minimal making this a good option for testing and making changes

    Yes, if you ever use shop air for your shocks it should be from a very dry source.

    Yeah but aren't most of the internals on shocks made of a nonrusting metal? While I agree water in the shocks is never good, hence why I'd never run it for an extended period of time, throwing it in for a day to get you to some nitrogen is fine. Case in point, I had to do that to get from Jeffs to DMZ. And man, what a difference as well, Jeff was only able to give me about 120 PSI to get up to OC for the evening, and I just though that was how the truck was gonna handle, and then Tim gave me 200 PSI in everything, and wowza!

    CO2 as well if you have a tank, no worry about moisture.

    Off road fiber glass, rhino lined olive drab, retrofit headlights, kings/total chaos mid travel suspension.
    I'm doing the total chaos long travel rear shock relocation with maybe fox 2.0's. At this point I think I'm going with Dakar leaf springs. Are those leaf springs really going to stop my shocks from performing at what they could, or are those a good combination?

    The dakars are a good leaf pack if you constantly have weight in or over the bed. If not they will be pretty stiff

    Even with weight in the bed I wouldn't recommend dakars as a high performing leaf pack. They are a no hassle, weight carrying leaf pack that is built for expo use. Try to go fast with them or really flex them out and they do ok (better than stock) but I think there are better options.

    That is not a long travel leaf pack at all. You need to contact Total Chaos and ask them exactly which leaf packs are spec's to match their kit.
