my front bumper weighs close to stock weight. Its really lightweight, i dont want to dislodge any kidney stones hitting CA potholes.

but your v-8 is the equivalent weight of my v-6 + bumper and winch. My 700's had zero preload and felt great...

You think CA potholes are bad? Try taking the 40 into Arizona by flagstaff.. were talking 5-8 inch holes 1-2 feet in length.

When with my shock setup it's a wake up call. Can't imagine not having coilovers

That's all tires holmes, when your suspension takes a square edge hit it doesn't compress for shit...CO's not help that shit. I would air down to about 18 psi for that, 18 psi on the highway is fun in a drifty scare the shit outta' ya' kinda' way :)

Hmm. I've only run the KO2s out here and I know they are pretty stiff for a light-ish truck. Maybe I will take a few psi out :hattip:

Used to have to do that down in San Diego, would run a trail at about 20 PSI and then no one had air, so we'd have to drive up 8 about 20 miles til we hit a gas station, makes things really fun

I still think the 1 down in Baja is worst "road" I've driven. It could be perfectly smooth pavement with no damage to the road and out of nowhere you'll hit the 5' x 5' x 2' deep hole in the road! If you've ever driven it, you'll understand....

    can confirm, bypasses are awesome.

Finally hit Pismo and hit the whoop section, got up to about 60MPH smooth as butter. The whoops weren't as brutal as normal but never the less, i was quite impressed.

Well thanks for letting us know now. Now I need to go rebuild my truck with bypasses. Wait that was the plan once the current setup blew out or needed to get worked on so long as the monies were available
