Ahh ok. I thought it was stainless. Ill get some on tomorrow.

The instructions were crappy for that. I cut the stock wheelers bolt to 3/8", and it was way too short. Had to dig and find another one. Which way does the allen side go in the spacer?

So I am planning on doing a full mid travel build on my Tacoma but I am a student and money comes in gradually so I will probably build the setup piece by piece. I was curious what’s the best order to buy/ install everything. I’ll be, at least attempting, to do it all myself. Here’s a list I’ve gathered of what I believe to be everything I need/want:
    • King 2.5 Ext A coil overs w/ RR
    • Total Chaos UCAs (Already Have them)
    • King 2.5 A 12” shocks w/ RR
    • Deaver MD leaf pack
    • BAMF Shock relocation kit
    • King 2.0 bump stops
    • Limiting straps
    • U bolt flip kit w/ super bumps

I would get the coilovers, leafs, and UCAs first. That will get you lifted. Then you can do rear relocate, shocks, and limit straps - thats a big job.

Are the king bumps for the front?

You want to add some kind of LCA too. The oem rubber bushings suck, and getting rid of them let's you really take advantage of your kings

From my understanding and please correct me if I’m wrong, aftermarket LCAs aren’t really a necessity for the build I’m planning on and its a lot of money for a good aftermarket set so I don’t see them in my future because I could put that money towards other upgrades that are maybe more important

Stick with superbumps up front and use the hydro bumps for the rear. Or save yourself money and do superbumps all around.

What’s the reasoning for this? I’m just trying to learn and figure it all out. Are the king bumps overkill?

You’ll be riding those bumps for most of your up travel and you’ll have a heck of a time adjusting your valving in your coil overs - even most guys with long travel up front get away with super bumps

I have budget constraints too. I'll eventually get new LCAs, but that will be the last piece of the puzzle for me. My temporary solution to get more articulation and loose the rubber bushings was to get whiteline bushings for my OEM LCAs. Fairly cheap upgrade to gain better articulation.

This. And I’m one of the long travel guys running superbumps up front and then some 2” king hydros in the rear.

    Whole lotta stuff
It takes trial and error to get these types of setups perfected. Lotta guys here, myself included, have done the error for you. You're in good hands as far as the advice goes. 2"x2.0 hydro in the rear and a good rubber bump up front is a great recipe. Stock travel front suspension doesn't really have the range to allow for a bump zone.

I'd say the Plastics Guy dual durometer bumps are better than the super bumps, but you can definitely be happy without hydros.

I may have missed what you said you were building for? The LCA is probably one of the last upgrades, but if you think you need hydro bumps I'd put it above those, and it's really about wringing the last bit of performance out of your extended travel kings than anything else.

There's two reasons to ditch the stock lca: one is getting rid of those sintered rubber bushings and getting something that doesn't limit travel or effect spring rate so you can better tune the front end (the white line bushing apparently does this?); Two is going into a stronger arm and joint (uniball). On the second point: you can wheel the shit out of your truck on stock LCAs. Or you can be like me and break joints or bend arms repeatedly till you replace them.

My truck is my daily driver so I don’t plan on wheeling it hard enough to the point where I can’t drive back home. So I don’t think the aftermarket LCAs are needed, I will eventually replace the bushings and if the control arm breaks on me then it’s an excuse to upgrade. Like I said I’m my original post, I’m a student and money comes in very gradually so it’s going to be a long build process
