Hi Weeza! Great pics. I remember being in Yellowstone as a kid in the 60's and the bears would come right up to the cars and we could get out and take pics. damn that was stupid. Better that the bears stay wild.

I really wish I would not opened this thread !!

Now I am really Homesick !!

Spent a few years out there in the seventies

Good to know the locals have never changed the way the pronounce Gros Ventre

Made the mistake of getting married to a girl that really wanted to move out there but she never would give up her family being close at hand.

Been trying to at least get back for a visit but it never seems to happen.

Those kinda pictures make me sad. I'd much rather see the animals just going about their lives, not acknowledging humans at all.

I tried LR for a while but just couldn't get the hang of it - but I've been using PS for over 15 years so change won't come easily!

:woot: Hope it works out for you!

:sorry: Homesick but at least you know things are still the same out here! So when ever you get back it will be like you never left....almost...

your pictures are wonderful! a friend sent me this thread and i am so glad.
guess i am sort of sad about the bears..... i don't think she should have be euthanized.
they don't live by our tit for tat rules, and it is a "justice" that can't be understood by them.
relocation maybe? i don't know. maybe i am just being dumb about it. sad for the wee ones.

Other than the roads being filled with idiot drivers (traffic jam so people could take pics of animals 100yds + from the road IN THE DARK....covered just under 4 miles in an hour :frusty:) the weekend was pretty good. Starting to see some signs of fall in the park.
That's not a cloud behind that hill....that's the smoke plume from the Spruce Fire. Was pretty hot and dry Saturday and it blew up, the plume was visible from almost the entire park._MG_4012.jpg

Such an amazing part of the country and our parks system.
I live on site in a regional park in Florida and have yet to get out there. I need to just pack up the bike in the truck and just leave for a few weeks.
