    We went to Yellowstone in May and it was just beautiful. It’s our second time with the first being in December and I think everyone owes it to themselves to see Yellowstone in the different seasons. It is absolutely breathtaking.

    Thanks for the advice. I don’t have any experience with Bison or Elk but I’ve Spent more than my fair share around big Bears and Moose and managed to keep the red stuff inside of me. I have no desire to tangle with a bison or anything else out there.

    On a similar note my boss just got back from Yellowstone two weeks ago and he had a Bison nearly run him over while he was out for a hike, nothing he did wrong the bison just decided to use the same trail he was. Needless to say he scrambled up hill a ways when he saw it coming. Good reminder to keep your head on a swivel out there.

    We passed through Yellowstone on our way home. Lots of tourists parking on the side of the road and getting 10-20 feet from a sleeping bison. I did see a moose across the river but did not stop/park illegally to get pictures of any animals on my trip. Will come back another time though.
