    I vaguely remember seeing it but grew up watching Grizzly Adams so that was all I wanted to be. What little kid didn’t want to live on his own and have a Bear as s best friend?

    domestic cattle are more accustomed to being around humans and are less likely to stomp your ass into the ground when approached so yes.

    In a lot of states if you hit/kill a farm animal (cow, pig, sheep etc), on a public road it’s your fault and you owe the farmer $$$. So if you bought it it yours.

    After all the posts and pictures from @MTgirl and with influence from the lovely lady from Sheridan I've dated the last year, I am finally planning to visit Yellowstone, for the first time, next year! I would like to loop around through Colorado and black Bear pass to eastern eastern Wyoming and back through Yellowstone.
    I hope to pick your brain for best travel times (I hate tourist types). I'm a low profile type.

    winter. about the lowest visitation the park sees these days. maybe opening weekend (mid april) but the alpine areas of CO would be out of the question then. the last week of august - the week before labor day weekend slows down a tad bit. labor day weekend is busy and then its walker and stroller season (retirees and young couples with babies) for the rest of fall.

    @MTgirl

    Any advice/suggestions for visiting these areas in November, specifically November 18th-20th? My wife and I are going on a 10 day cross country road trip (Georgia to Montana then South to Moab and back to Gerogia) and these are the only dates that work out for us. I have been ding research (how I found your thread) and I know Yellowstone is pretty much shutdown in November but I was hoping you may have some suggestions for us. We will be camping and have a 4x4 taco so trails would be cool also, we hope to be off pavement any chance we get. Since we were in the area we really wanted to visit Yellowstone but it doesnt seem like we will be able to do anything but drive by. Again, any suggestions/advice you can give is appreciated.
