    *****************************SUSPENSION UPDATE*****************************

So I recently pulled the credit card trigger on an Icon Stage 4 Complete Kit for the MTNAHBT!
I got a super discount by a local custom truck shop that has a great relationship with Icon and they installed and guaranteed the work in contract.

After only 1/2 day of mall crawling, I can tell this setup is going to be killer!!
The MTNHABT is my daily driver so most of my mileage will be pavement.

Road testing: Street speeds (<45 mph) = stiff in the rear (Icon AAL)
    - cornering is a bit tight in the steering wheel and I can almost feel the tires digging in opposing direction (camber/caster maybe??), hoping this loosens as it settles
    - 20 mph over speed bumps/big dips (aka road whoops) = BUTTER!!!!
Freeway testing: Highway speeds (>45 mph) = BUTTER!!!!!!
The setup is sure to settle in and I have only heard that the Icons get better with speed.
So far, this has been true!

    What's in the BOX????!!!!

I wrapped every piece of suspension I could with 3M clear automotive protection tape - helps keep things looking fresh/easier to clean.

No rub with 265's. I may need to keep these for a bit-garage clearance

Fit test this weekend with 285's.

one thing to note, you have double stacked rotopax. Might win you a few inches if you go down to one can instead of two. maybe put the second can in the back of the truck. I found it was louder when I had two stacked too!Otherwise build is looking SWEET! :goingcrazy:

Yeah I was thinking that would be an option...I have 4 of them and not a lot of room in the bed ----there's a bed in there lol!
On the positive, the 285's have a total of only 1 inch height difference from current tires - dropping the 1 set of rotos and I may be good.

    Upgraded to 285/70/17!
After a weekday jaunt up to the local mountains, the KO2's proved to have a weak spot...a very big one at that!
They did not perform well at all on wet, steep roads while turning. Tight right hand turns had the left front spinning for traction - not a great feeling while staring over a cliff. So I decided to pull the trigger. Well, that and another member @rileySB knew of someone in need of the KO2's. WIN-WIN!

So I set out to fit the 285's - easy peasy....or so I thought.
The @icon_rep Stage 4 kit comes with factory set coilovers - a smooth as butta ride I'll tell you that.
Problems with my wheel off set, no cmc and the tire shop wouldn't let me leave bc I couldn't turn right or left.
So the debacle ensued...get cmc, trim, realignment, adjust coilovers up from stock...hope the tires would fit this time.
They fit and about a day of driving later, my mpg dropped by 3 mph and I could feel the marked difference in low end torque while getting on the local freeways.
Love the new look of the truck and the feel of the ICON suspension.
The new tires are Nitto Ridge Grapplers and I couldn't be more impressed! They took the turn in the mountain on wet pavement like a champ, no slippage, no fishtailing - they felt like part of the truck and didn't wander at all.
Can't wait to get them out in the snow! Loving my ride!

*Regearing research is now in full effect.

Just a tad on the plastic wheel well on full stuff. Heat gun will fix it.

I have the Icon Stage 4 setup but you need to cmc and trim plastic for them not to rub.

Thank you. I was just curious as to how much you had to bring the coilovers up to clear. I know they can be adjusted up to 2.75 in. Looks great.
