Has anyone played around with the Multi-Terrain Select in the Snow? Seems odd that Snow would be left out of a MTS option but I'm a truck noob so what do i know? Feel free to fill me with your knowledge.

Exploding diff when one tire gets good traction with engine revved all of a sudden on pavement. kabang.... best to let traction control do it's thing in snow and on paved roads.

I'm pretty sure your diff is not engaged during MTS, FYI.

That's cause the best thing for snow is pushing the skinny pedal and maintaining momentum.

I can't speak for others, but I certainly don't. the truck has a warning sticker that clearly says you should only use the locker when you are stuck, from a stand still, and at less than 5 mph.

I don't have that option... weird about the locker and under 5mph... I used to own a Jeep or 2... lock those babies up and go for a ride...

That sticker is Toyota's way of covering their ass if something happens.

I'll use my locker anytime I come across someplace I really don't want to get stuck in or could benefit from the additional traction. Once the locker is locked it's locked till you turn it off, at least that's my understanding, the 5mph is just a warning.

Loose rock setting, max. But honestly the terrain selection is just a sensitivity, think of it 1-5 rather than which terrain. Experiment!
