Just go my new Tacoma. I need mud flaps. But I'm unsure about which ones to get. I don't know if I have OEM fender flares or factory fender flares. Dumb question I know. but its been awhile since I had a new truck and was searching for things to add. Mine always came with mud flaps. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I like the plasticolor flaps. They are soft and flexible also the most cost effective i have found. See the link below in my signature

I have the weathertechs and I am very happy with them. There are some that are more pliable, though, for hardcore 4 wheeling.

Ive got a question that may be even more dumb! I just came over to the Tacoma side from 2 previous FJs, and have owned my TRD Sport for 2 days now. What is the difference between OEM and Toyota fender flares? Or am I overthinking the original post?

Im selling my Toyota brand mud flaps, but am not sure what it would cost to ship so that would probably be a deal breaker. I have them listed locally.

I want to order mudflaps but I want to make sure I order the right ones. Some say OEM and some say Toyota. There probably isn't a difference but I'm not even sure If I have fender flares or not ( I think I might but they are smaller than on my 2010). I know I sound stupid. But I just want to make sure i get the right ones. Can someone post a picture of them?

The only Tacoma without fender flares (stateside) is the SR trim. If you have an SR5, you have fender flares.

An OEM part is a Toyota part; that's just two ways of saying the same thing.

I have the Plasticolor flaps as well. I definitely recommend them if you don't mind punching your own holes.

Oh ok. Thats my fault for thinking you meant there was an OEM flare and Toyota flare. Im pretty sure you can tell if you have the flares by looking for the gap. Does it look like something is attached to your truck above the wheel well? Or is it a smooth piece of metal that just protrudes out a little?

Here are 2 pictures of mine WITH OEM/Toyota flares. Note the slight gap. You can tell its a piece of plastic (flare) on top of the metal.

Thank you! I was pretty sure I had the fender flares but just wanted to be 100% positive. I've been kind of out of the loop for awhile and well because a guy had to run a red light and total my 2010 tacoma prerunner, I had to get back in the loop. Just want to make sure I don't run into any issues when I can order some flaps.

Was interested in the plasti Color. Amazon has 9" and 11". Which is the right size? My truck is OR model all stock. Also did you use the 10mm stock screws?

Pick whichever ones you want. Your truck doesn't care what they have on them.

11s. I only used the stock fender screws to mount, no issues thus far.
