Mud Flaps / Mud Guards?

I just got a 2020 OR and it didn't come with any mud flaps or guards. I'm not big into off roading, just occasionally. Do I want mud flaps or mud guards? I've seen Husky, RokBlokz, OEM, WeatherTech and a few other brands discussed. Which is the best for my use?

 

Skip the OEM ones. They are molded plastic that won't bend nicely if you happen to hit them on something. IMHO, cheap universal flaps are way better than the Toyota ones at a fraction of the price.

After removing the OE ones, running for a couple years without any, and hearing too many rock bounce off my rockers, I recently installed these:

They are also plastic, not rubber, but do flex well enough. I did have to heat mold the front ones to get the one screw location on the inner wheel well and drill an extra hole in the inner rear wheel well for a couple zipties. Pretty easy.


The backup option, if I had some heavy rubber laying around, I would have cut my own.
