I've got 3 on at the moment. Front left and both in the rear. The right front was ripped off while delivering some stuff to my old cabin in the snow. Those things get pretty stiff when its -20.

OFF! But rear mud flaps are required to pass inspection in Utah if you have tires any different size than stock. So on just to pass inspection, then off they come!

Took mine off after the back flaps snapped in half pulling out of my drive way in the first real big snow fall of the year!

I originally said said keep them on to protect the paint and help keep the truck clean (without the front ones you'll get the trademark "mud rainbow" across the whole sides from even small puddles), but after getting sick and tired of hearing the front flaps scrape on every little thing on the trail I had to take them off... much quiter now, although the rear flaps make a nasty scrape noise too. If they were closer to being rubber than plastic I'd keep them on. I just hate that plastic scraping noise. I'm gonna keep the rear flaps on untill one of them brakes off.

I started looking at all the other trucks on the road to see if they had mud flaps. It seems that toyota's are the only trucks around here with them on. Which makes me think, just how important are these things? I think mine will be comming off in about 6 months when I finally learn everything I need to know about lifts.

Just took my mudflaps off yesterday. I personally like the look for city driving. I happened to get a little crazy and go through some mud today though and got showered all over the sides.

My advice is take them off but keep them to slap back on for camping or any offroading.

I took mine off just because my truck is stock height and where we go hunting and fishing is very rocky and one of the flaps got hung up and broke off so I just took the rest off...badges too
