    Some stuff...
    OMG

I actually went ahead and replaced the front flaps after losing the passenger side flap backing over a snow berm a while back. So far I'm happy with the rubber flaps so long as they don't get weighted down with that four letter word that I refuse to say (sn_w) or mud and turn over the front wheel. We'll see...

I got my rokblokz oversized tire mud flap kit today. For a long time I have been running my cut-up flaps, with 275/70r17 tires on 4.1" b.s. wheels. Finally, no more scraping and full protection.

Can you leave the stock mud flaps on if you have the bushwacker fender flares? Right now I have the front and rear set of mud flaps off. It seems the way the stock ones are molded in a way that they would not fit. The only reason I was asking was just case I ever have to put the rear set back on for a courtesy and some state say you have to have them.

The stock flaps will not fit with bushwackers.

So I just bought a new Tacoma last week. Decided to take it on a road trip camping this week to Cedar Mesa, UT. Drove some modertate roads(some use of 4low). The hitting of my mudflaps drove me crazy. Probably hit them 200 times in the 3 days. Looking for some nice aftermarket flaps. Easy to install would be great(no drilling). I know you can cut them but would rather by some that will just work. Most of my diving is on pavement but I take my truck most weeks to various trailheads or camping spots that require some moderate off roading.
    Thanks

I chopped front flaps about 6" on my '14 so I voted chopped, but I took them off on my '09

Read this entire thread (over 2-3 days at work in spare time) and I don't know if I'm more or less decided haha.

I really like the flappy plastis that got posted for the price and the flex. I currently have a Taco on order that should be due mid-June (reasonably). Already planning the aftermarkets.. wanna sell those stocks while they are pristine :)

If I do that the aftermarkets should pay for themselves.

    Also, first post *_*

the butt dyno says i gained 25hp and 25 lb/ft of torque.

nah really i dunno if there is a difference but it sure felt different when driving at highway speeds.

it felt like i was driving my old 1988 1st gen toyota truck from back in the day. :D

    thanks!

the ivan stewart trd wheels. bought them from a toyota dealer in tennessee on ebay for $750 back in 2009 right after i bought the truck.

i asked my dealer about them here in alabama when i bought the truck brand new and they looked at me like i was crazy. i was like look the wheels are right there in the accessories booklet.

they didn't have a clue about them.

i think i trimmed them too short. i was noticing alot more rocks and pebbles hitting the bottom of the truck.

i ordered a new set and i'm gonna trim the fronts down to 8" and the rears to 6".

this should do a better job than 5". still short enough not to hit on things but long enough to protect.

ordered a new set and also some prerunner rear flaps. cut 3.5" off the fronts and 2.5" off the rears. the fronts are now 8.5" long and the rears are 7.5" long. perfect to me. protection and enough clearance as well. my truck is leveled out though. the front is 1.5" higher than stock. if you run stock you would probably want to go shorter on the flaps. maybe 7" or 7.5" in the front and 6" or 6.5" in the rear.

I have them on. But want to take them off. I have a 2015 already have 250off road miles the scrapping of the front stock mud flaps are driving me crazy back ones are fine. Question if i take the front ones off would rocks ding my doors? I want to take the fronts off for more clearance and just put shorter ones on the back
