I think that toyota has made a flawed mud flap......The 05's and 06's have some crappy flaps.....The new flaps are concave on the backside and made in one mold where the first had two pieces mended and the support veins break on the back side......customer service in california recommends taking them to a dealer to be replaced at the dealers cost...........defective parts........I like the looks of the flaps....

I saw another second gen. next to me on the highway & realized that the fronts sail really bad, but the backs are rigid enough so this doesn't happen. I cut about 3" off the fronts:

I did it again. Got tired of paying truck payments and gas and traded in for a 2015 Honda Accord Sport since I enjoyed my 2013 Sport so much.
    Finally took them off.
    Looks a lot better.

    Just the basics
Something just dawned on me. The 4x2 trucks have stubby flaps mounted with the same overfenders as the 4x4/prerunners from the pics on www.toyota.com.

Has anyone put the stubby ones on the front?

I've actually dragged my mudflaps coming down the other side of a speed bump! It happened 3 times before I realized what the noise was. These mudflaps on the front are way too long. Sorry for stating the obvious.:)

I do not want any chips in the paint. I am looking for front mud flaps for a 2009 Tacoma 4x2 regular cab. Any suggestions?

Mine came off the day after I bought the truck. Also, I don't care if someone knows my truck has 4wd or not. I sure as hell am not going to keep the rear flaps on just because they say, "4x4".

I took them off and laid one on top of the other to draw a cut line, then trimmed them with a pair of shop shears. Then I smoothed up the cut with 400 grit sandpaper. It was really easy.
